These are things you can assess right now from the satellite image — before you call the customer back. Tick each one that applies. They add automatically to the quote. Be honest — these protect your time and margin on the day.
Always include this in your booking confirmation message or text:
"Quote is based on open-access gutters with no gutter guards installed. If gutter guards are present or gutters are severely blocked, we'll let you know on arrival before proceeding with any additional work."
Whether the enquiry is by phone, text, or message — your first job is to get the address. Everything else follows from that.
"Thanks for reaching out — can I grab your address and I'll take a quick look at the property and come back to you with a price?"
Then hang up or pause and go to Google Maps. Don't try to quote blind from a description. It takes 90 seconds to look at the property and you'll quote with confidence instead of guessing.
For these situations: discuss with the customer on arrival before starting. Either agree a price to continue, or clean what you can access and note what couldn't be completed.
"Extera, [your name] speaking."
They explain they need gutters cleaned.
"No worries, I can help with that. Can I grab your address and I'll take a quick look at the property and come straight back to you with a price?"
Get the address. Thank them. End the call or put them on hold for 90 seconds while you check Google Maps.
